Subbu has been a serial entrepreneur focusing on building enterprises that use technology to bring in transformation and enhance value to its customers. As a co-founder he is currently heading Next Wave group of companies as its MD and CEO. He is a Technology Advisor for Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI). Been a thought leader on Smart Cities and participated in various national and international seminars. Been a Panelist at Metropolis 2014 – 100 Indian Smart Cities. Made presentations at the World Bank, Washington, November 2013, on the use of ICT in Smart Cities and their relevance to Indian Cities.

Being a business leader in an unchartered terrain he proposed and implemented large scale PPP (Public Private Partnership) initiatives in agriculture and cooperatives, Urban Local bodies and ICT based service delivery frameworks. He propounded convergent strategies, developed ICT solutions for UNICEF integrating departments of health, woman and child welfare, women empowerment and self help groups.

As a niche business player he has been the Brand ambassador 2011-12 for “Dell” in its unique entrepreneurial campaign “Take Your Own Path” . Only 50 global entrepreneurs were part of this campaign. As a social entrepreneur he pioneered innovative models that had a vision to integrate millions of rural citizens into the formal financial mainstream”. He is one of the few CEOs invited to represent SMEs from India, by Bill Gates, Chairman Microsoft, for the Microsoft Global CXO conference in Seattle 2003, USA. Solutions and products developed by him received accolades and awards from Microsoft, Computer Society of India, e-India, Ministry of IT, Government of India etc.

Subbu is a Mathematics Graduate and has done his Masters in Computer Applications from the University of Hyderabad (1984-87). Mr. Subbu is presently working on SMAC technologies that could be used in building Smart Cities. He is cocreating a IDE for Bigdata analytics. His academic interests include Fuzzy mathematics, Big data, AI, Product engineering and Change Management. Subbu is a trained Classic Vocal singer and is passionate about Indian music.
